Welcome to Django 1.2.3

Webfaction is pretty awesome. (Disclosure: If you click the link at the bottom of the page I get a discount.)

Regardless I would recommend them anyway. I just converted my site to Django 1.2.3 which is the latest stable version. It took under an hour and a good portion of that was spent double-checking and backing up repeatedly. Part of the credit goes to django, but quite a bit goes to Webfaction for the best Linux hosting I've seen.

I created my 1.2.3 application in their web panel which completed ridiculously fast. I gave it a path of /test (all apps including static ones are disjoint from their external URI.) Next I copied over templates, code, and settings via SSH console. Then went to caller9.com/test. It looked good. I changed the 1.1.1 install to /old before deleting it and put this as / and viola, done.

There were a few detail steps in there but overall, piece of cake.
